  MMTC issues tender for coking coal import

MUMBAI: MMTC Ltd has issued a tender for supply of 5 million tonnes of imported non-coking coal, with an option to buy additional 3 million tonnes. The coal is to be supplied over a period of one year or as required by the company's customer, the Web site said. The bids close on June 4, 2008.

  Malaysia's palm oil exports during the May 1-15 period are estimated at 642,538 metric tons, up 10% on month, cargo surveyor Intertek Agri Services said Thursday.

  The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) said that crude oil inventories were up 200,000 barrels last week to 325.8 million barrels. Supplies of gasoline were down 1.7 million barrels and heating oil supplies were up 400,000 barrels.
 
  NCDEX Chilli futures gain on fresh support
  The NCDEX Red Chilli futures extended the previous trading sessions gains on fresh buying support. The benchmark June Red Chilli futures are trading at sessions high of Rs 5144, up 28 per quintal.
