Nymex raises coal, lowers uranium margins

NEW YORK: The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc has changed margins for its Central Appalachian coal futures contract. Margins will increase to $12,000 from $11,000 for clearing members, to$13,200 from $12,100 for members, and to $16,200 from $14,850 for customers.

For uranium futures contract, margins will decrease to $1,500 from $2,000 for clearing members, to $1,650 from $2,200 for members, and to $2,025 from $2,700 for customers.
