OPEC crude rises to $69.43 a barrel

VIENNA : Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on Tuesday said the price of its basket crude rose Monday.
In a statement issued here the Vienna based oil cartel said the price was up by 14 cents on Monday, to settle at $69.43 per barrel, higher than the pre-weekend price on Friday.

The group's 12 member countries pump more than a third of the world's oil supply.
OPEC's basket is made up of Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
