The government has been over charging. Even $79 per barrel it comes to Pak Rupees 14 per litre which is the price of oil. Breaking it down in its component pars like petrol, diesel and motor oil etc. The petrol should never exceed Rs 20 per litre. The 46 rupees is just tax which is completely unjustified. The government has completely mismanaged the economy, food prices are outrageously high, sugar has virtually disappeared from the market because it is over priced. The government has imposed 300% indirect tax on everything it can. It is unable levy enough revenue from income tax. This government is just as incompetent as the previous and all the others. All that they do is imposing higher taxes and give nothing in return. The quality of life has not changed since 1947, people continue to live in miserable conditions because everyone is afraid of changing the status quo
