Six government agencies in Punjab procured 48,36,861 tonnes of paddy so far with Mandis of Ferozepur division maintaining its lead.

PUNGRAIN procured 11, 60,057 tonnes of paddy (26.7%) whereas MARKFED procured 10, 07,991 tonnes of paddy (23.2%).

PUNSUP procured 10, 07,954 tonnes of paddy (23.2%) whereas Punjab State Warehousing Corporation procured 5, 80,893 tonnes of paddy (13.3%) besides 5,38,919 tonnes of paddy (12.4%) procured by Punjab Agro.

The Central Government Agency FCI procured only 56,434 tonnes of paddy (1.3%). The Millers procured 4, 84,613 tonnes of paddy (10.0 %) by Tuesday.

The mandis in Amritsar Division recorded 15,54,695 tonnes of paddy with Kapurthala recording maximum paddy by Wednesday to the tune of 3,67,697 tonnes.

The mandis of Ferozepur division recorded 24,43,661 tonnes of paddy with maximum of 9,01,889 tonnes of paddy being recorded by Ferozepur district.
