NEW DELHI (Commodity Online): State owned State Trading Corporation (STC) has floated tender, inviting bids to sell 2500 tonnes of imported masoor dal (red lentils) of 2009 season in the local market.

Bids will close on November 4 and the decision on the tender will be taken by November 10, the company said on its Web site.

At present, 2000 tonnes of red lentils are in Mumbai and the rest in Kolkata. Bidders should quote for a minimum quantity of 500 tonnes, it s aid.
