Suzlon wins 52MW order from GSPL
MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Renewable energy major, Suzlon Energy Ltd (BOM:532667) has secured an order from Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL) to set up a 52.5 megawatt (MW) wind energy project in Rajkot and Porbandar districts of Gujarat.
The company stocks gained 4.23% to Rs.77.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), after the company announced the new order win during trading hours today, 4 March 2010. The company has bagged the order from Gujarat-based Gujarat State Petronet Ltd to supply wind turbines having a total capacities of 52.5 MW.
Get trading tips on your mobileThe company did not reveal financial details of the order. The project is to be executed by July 2010, Suzlon Energy said in a filing with Bombay Stock Exchange.
Last month, Suzlon Energy's unit REpower won orders in France for supplying 26 wind turbines with a capacity of 52 megawatts.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs.285.14 crore in Q3 December 2009, lower than a net loss of Rs.390.93 crore in Q3 December 2008. Net sales fell 50.10% to Rs.748.68 crore in Q3 December 2009 over Q3 December 2008.
