Turmeric futures moves up on back of spot market

The NCDEX Turmeric futures have flourished today as consistent buying support in the spot markets assisted the commodity. The spot prices hit a life time high of Rs 4000 yesterday and the futures flared up today as well.

The Jun 08 contract trades at4122Rs/Quintal, after hitting a high of 4125Rs/Quintal.The contract added Rs53 or1.30 percent during the session and added 3.44 percent in the open interest, which stood at 18650 lots as against 18030 lots yesterday.

The Aug 08 contract trades at 4394Rs/Quintal, after hitting a high of 4395Rs/Quintal.The contract enhanced by Rs 54 or1.24 percent during the session and added 3.65 percent in the open interest, which stood at 30140 lots as against 29080 lots yesterday
