Reports of lower sowing in major parts of Andhra Pradesh such as Nizamabad , Karimnagar and Kadappa might maintain the bullish bias intact in physical market.
Owing to crop diversification , high labour cost and non – remunerative crop , the total crop size is likely to be decline by 12-15% in the currently season ( From June to March).
Sturdy revenue from other crop like Rice and soyabean might incite the farmers towards these crops. Revenue from rice is around 43000 with the costing of Rs 12000 at one hectare against the total costing of Rs 28000 incurred in Turmeric. This might provoke the farmers towards other remunerative crop.
Moreover, high labour cost and post – harvesting cost also shifted the farmers towards low cost crop like rice and soyabean.
