BEIJING (Commodity Online) : World’s second largest oil consumer China imported 18.51 million tones of crude in February, the second-highest rate on record on a daily basis.

According to China’s Energy ministry, the import level was 58 percent higher than a year earlier.



China switched back into being a net fuel importer last month, with imports at 2.89 million tones and exports at 1.6 million tones.

The country became a net seller in December for the first time since at least 1993.
