LONDON (Commodity Online): These dentures are no ordinary, nor the gold plated on it will be priced as a scrap, for it was an integral part of the speeches made by the former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the Second World War. Today, a set of these gold-plated dentures will go under the hammer at Britain.

Churchill, who suffered from a speech impediment since childhood, owned these dentures to hide his speech impediment and enable him to make historical war time speeches clearly over the radio.

A part of the specially crafted twin set, which is kept by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, is being sold by the son of the dental technician who designed them, The Telegraph reported. The British Premier always ensured he had a spare set of dentures with him, in case of an emergency.

The teeth will go on sale today at Keys' Salerooms in Aylsham, Norfolk, with an estimated price of 4,500 to 5,000 pounds.

‘It is so quirky - one of those things which is so unusual that it could make a huge amount of money. The teeth are set in dentist's gold - but I think it is safe to say they won't be sold for their scrap value,’ Andrew Bullock, valuer at Keys', was quoted as saying by the media.
