Exim Rajathi aims high in soya bean meal exports

CHENNAI: Exim Rajathi Pvt Ltd, a recent entrant into soya bean meal exports has notched up an export volume metric tonnes since 22234.58 metric tonnes (Mts) with a value of Rs 38.88 crore and expects the volume to rise in view of the demand from major consuming countries.

In the current fiscal, Exim Rajathi has achieved a volume of 16322.03 Mts, according to Madan Prakash, Joint Managing Director of Rajathi group. In 2007-08, the company achieved a quantity of 5912.55 Mts valued at Rs 9.56 crore.

“Encouraged by the demand from consuming countries, Exim Rajathi will be buying significant quantities for export this year directly from source from the Soya growing belts. Our major sources of procurement have been Madhya Pradesh, giving us almost 80% of export produce from across the length and breadth Indore and Bhopal,” Madan Prakash said.

EXIM Rajathi exports Soya Bean Meal which is an extract of Soya bean seed. This commodity is basically a cattle feed with very high protein of 46-50 %.

EXIM Rajathi has been dealing with 10 Solvent extraction plants and buys large quantities from soya growing belts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

“This year although the production is in surplus demand from consuming countries will firm up export demand and prices which is increasing day by day. We have the network and logistics operation to achieve the quantity we have in mind,” Madan Prakash added.
