GACL wind power capacity to touch 83.75 MW
AHMEDABAD (Commodity Online): Gujarat-based state-owned chlor-alkali major, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) (BOM:530001), has set up 62.75 MW Wind Mill Farm in Kachchh district as a part of commitment for protection of environment and for promoting Green Energy using renewable resources.
According to the company statement issued today, “In continuance to GACL’s commitment towards promoting Green Energy, the company has installed 3rd Phase Wind Mill Project of 21 MW capacity at site Maliya Miyana, Dist. Rajkot.”
Suzlon Energy Ltd has developed all the 3 Wind Energy Farms. After commissioning the project, the total capacity of GACL Wind Mills shall thus go up to 83.75 MW.
GACL is the only State PSU to install such large capacity Wind Energy Projects in the Gujarat State.
However, the company stocks lost ground on the bourses today after sinking by close to 3% to Rs.123.35 amid weakness in the overall markets.
