MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Global coffee exports in November 2011 rose to 7.78 million bags (60 kg each) from 7.75 million bags in the same month last year, according to International Coffee Organisation (ICO).
While, the worldwide exports fell by 3% to 15 million bags in October-November 2011 against 15.5 million bags same period last year.
According to datas provided by ICO, in 2010-11coffee year, world coffee exports rose by 9% to a record 103.1 million bags as against 94.3 million bags in the 2009-10, reported PTI.
Earlier, according to USDA, global coffee production has been around 133.3 million bags in 2010-11 and for 2011-12 is expected to be around 135 million bags.
While, ICO has also revised its global coffee production estimate for 2011-12 to 128.6 million bags.
In Inter-Continental Exchange (ICE), the coffee for March delivery traded at 218.70 cents on 6th January at 3:30 IST.
