Greaves Cotton rolls out 3 millionth light diesel engine

MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Greaves Cotton Limited has rolled out its three millionth light diesel engine on February 17th 2012, at its Aurangabad facility.


Greaves Cotton had reached the millionth light diesel engine on December 2004 followed by second millionth in May 2009. The third millionth is a milestone achieved in less than three years.


Mr. Sunil Pahilajani, MD & CEO of Greaves Cotton commented on this achievement,”Greaves Cotton's customer centric approach with ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics has made it a formidable player in the light engines business. Our growing presence in the 4 wheeler Small Commercial vehicles (SCV) market is a testimony to our strong in-house R&D and manufacturing capabilities.” Moreover, he said he feel confident that the next millionth landmark will be even quicker.
