India Cabinet raises MSP for Chana, Masur, RM Seed; leaves Wheat

The support price of Mustard seed is fixed at Rs 3,000 per quintal for this year which is 20% higher from the last year’s MSP. The MSP of Chana is increased to Rs 3,200 per quintal for the 2013-14 marketing year from Rs 2,800 per quintal in 2012-13. No change has been suggested in Wheat MSP.

  • NEW DELHI(Commodity Online): On Thursday, India's Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved Minimum Support Prices for Rabi season crop. Highest increment of 20% is made in Mustard seed (RMSeed). The support price of Mustard seed is fixed at Rs 3,000 per quintal for this year which is 20% higher from the last year’s MSP.

    The MSP of Chana is increased to Rs 3,200 per quintal for the 2013-14 marketing year from Rs 2,800 per quintal in 2012-13. No change has been suggested in Wheat MSP.
