India imports from Vietnam increases

HANOI : India imports various commodities worth $69.54 million in turnover from Vietnam in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 45.5 per cent over the same period last year.
Some commodities fetched much higher volumes than last year. Coffee imports worth $4.96 million while pepper fetched $1.8 billion for the country.
Timber imports hit $1.14 million and tea imports reached $484,000.
However, imports of some commodities fell in volume, including coal, rubber, textiles, footwear and plastic products.
