India sugar output dips by 44 percent

NEW DELHI (Commodity Online) : India produced 14.7 million tones of sugar in the last marketing year.



In response to a question in Parliament, minister of state for agriculture K V Thomas said this figure is down 44% from 26.3 million tons in 2007-08.
