NEW DELHI (Commodity Online): India's oilmeal exports have soared 17% to 4,418,547 tons during April-January 2012 on good Kharif crop and depreciating rupee, according to Solvent Extractors' Association of India.
Oilmeals include soybean meal, rapeseed meal, groundnut meal and ricebran extract.
The major importers include Japan (1,067,207 tons), Vietnam (786,595 tons), South Korea (609,883 tons), China (348,970 tons) and Europe (259,568 tons).
In Inter-Continental Exchange (ICE), the soybean meal for March delivery traded at 327.7cents on 4th February.
