THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (Commodity Online): The International Rubber Conference hosted by Rubber Board of India begins on Sunday evening here which will be attended by more than 400 delegates and dignitaries from natural rubber producing countries.
Union Minister for Rural Development,Jairam Ramesh will inaugurate the International Rubber Conference (IRC) and Annual Meetings of the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB here.
Smt.Sheela Thomas IAS, Chairman, Rubber Board will welcome the gathering and Dr.James Jacob, Director (Research) and Vice Chairman of IRRDB will propose a vote of thanks. IRRDB Awards, Rubber Innovation Awards and Best Paper Awards will be distributed in the function.
Conference Abstracts and Rubber Science –a journal published by the Rubber Research Institute of India - will also be released during the function. The three day long International Rubber Conference will start on 29 October 2012 and will witness intensive deliberations on different aspects of rubber cultivation and industry.
Nearly 200 Scientists and experts will present papers on R&D activities in the above subjects. Delegates including representatives from NR producing countries, growers, nursery owners, industrialists, agri-input distributors and persons from other related areas will participate in the conference.
