Iraq to import 60000 ton rice
BAGHDAD (Commodity Online): Iraq’s state run grain board has floated a tender inviting bids to import 60000 metric tons of rice, said the board in statement on its website.
The board said bidders should submit their offers by Feb. 22 and bids would be valid until February 28.
Last time Iraq bought rice was in December, when it bought 190,000 tons for delivery in the next few weeks. Some 100,000 tons were U.S. rice bought from ADM, 60,000 tons Pakistani rice from Iraqi company Durrat al-Nahrain, and 30,000 tons Pakistani rice from Jordanian company Jraisat.
