Kajaria Ceramics to invest Rs.125 cr for expansion
MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Vitrified tiles maker, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd (BOM:500233) will set up an additional manufacturing facility at its existing unit in Galipur, Rajasthan for production of polished and glazed vitrified tiles.
The company board of directors today approved the proposal to set up the manufacturing facility at 6 msm capacity. The company would invest nearly Rs.125 crore for the expansion purpose. The investments would be financed by way of a mix of debt and internal accruals, the company stated in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
According to the company statement, the commercial production from the plant is expected to start by end of December 2010.
The company stocks sank on the bourses today with loss of 1.2% to Rs.57.40, while stock prices have soared by close to 20% in past one quarter.
