Kazakhstan oil,gas output grows by 8.4 percent
ASTANA (Commodity Online) : Oil and gas production in former soviet republic of Kazakhstan grew by 8.4 percent in Jan-Nov 2009.
According to Kazakhstan’s Energy ministry, the country produced 69.676 mm tons of crude oil and gas condensate in January to November, up by 8.4 % year-on-year.
Gas condensate production was down 9.7 % year-on-year to 4.920 mm tons. KazMunaiGaz produced 8.269 mm tons of oil and gas condensate during the eleven months, down by 4.6 %.
Companies, in which KazMunaiGaz owns an interest, produced 31.803 mm tons, up by 18.1 % -- TengizChevrOil 20.363 mm tons (up by 30.4 %), Kazgermunai 2.930 mm tons (up by 2.3 %), PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources 2.809 mm tons (up by 2.9 %), MangistauMunaiGaz 5.233 mm tons (up by 1.9 %), and CNPC-AktobeMunaiGaz 5.550 mm tons (up by 3.8 %).
In November, Kazakhstan produced 6.689 mm tons of oil and gas condensate, including 458,301 tons of condensate.
Gas production totalled 32.209 bn cm in January through November, up by 5.9 % year-on-year. Natural gas production was 16.427 bn cm, down 2.9 % year-on-year.
