LME base metal prices dips last week

LONDON (Commodity Online): London Metal Exchange Base metal prices dipped on Friday except for steel and Aluminium Alloy. All other base metal prices ended in the red.


London copper futures rose marginally in a slow Asian session on Friday as investors exercised caution ahead of key U.S. employment data. Sluggish demand from top copper consumer China and worries about Greece's drawn-out debt deal took the steam out of last week's rally.


LME Price Highlights:


--Aluminium Alloy advanced 0.47% to $2130 a metric ton


--Aluminium dipped 1.9% to $2158 per metric ton


--Copper slipped 0.28% to $8315 a metric ton


--Lead dipped 1.69% to $2146.50 per metric ton


--Nickel dipped 0.59% to $20775 a metric ton


--Tin dipped 0.31% to $23975 per metric ton


--Zinc dipped 0.23% to $2087.50 a metric ton


--Steel gained 1.64% to $493 per metric ton
