LONDON (Commodity Online): Base metal prices at the London Metal Exchange advanced on Tuesday, as investors focused on the funding needs of Greece and Portugal, with the euro zone sovereign debt crisis blunting optimism that Asian demand will remain strong.
LME Price Highlights:
--Aluminium Alloy advanced 2.20% to $2136 a metric ton
--Aluminium gained 2.12% to $2257 per metric ton
--Copper gained 1.03% to $8484.50a metric ton
--Lead gained 0.58% to $2250.50 per metric ton
--Nickel dipped 1.12% to $21125 a metric ton
--Tin advanced 0.99% to $24285 per metric ton
--Zinc gained 1.43% to $2125 a metric ton
--Steel dipped 0.78% to $505 per metric ton
