What are the secrets of successful investing? It is a question that confounds every investor who has lost money or who wants to make money in the markets. But markets continue to be an enigma for most of us whether it is due to manipulation, lack of skills, patience and hard work on the part of investors.
Monte Farber,: President and Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) of ESP Services Inc. is a psychic, astrologer and investment advisor who has an impressive track record of successful market predictions. He is not a fortune teller but somebody who can help you make a fortune whether it is in stocks or commodities. Or going beyond, he can change your life with his new ‘Quantumplaytion’ technique- uniquely based on quantum physics to achieve your personal goals and objectives.
Monte Farber has sold two million copies of his 40 books, divination systems, DVDs and meditation CDs and the world is eagerly looking forward to his new book to be released in April, Quantum Affirmation by Weiser Books.
In an interview to Sreekumar Raghavan, Chief Commodity Strategist of Commodity Online, Farber gives some fresh insights into what drives markets and his new ‘Quantumplaytion ‘ technique.:
Sreekumar Raghavan: What is your outlook for global equity and commodity markets for 2012 and do you expect recovery in the Eurozone and US economy soon?
Monte Farber: I am shown a very clear picture of the nations of the world putting their economies in protective boxes. I understand this to mean several things:
a) There is going to be a surprising movement away from economic interdependence, especially by the wealthy nations. I believe that this has already begun, perhaps in secret, but the effects of these nations protecting and isolating their economies is there for the wise to see.
b) Equity investments should be guided by the relative strength and weaknesses of the nations in which they operate. A stock may look great and yet lose value because it operates in a nation that has not adequately protected and isolated its economy from its trading partners.
c) The boxes in my vision could be protectionism in countries where that is politically feasible.
d) Though I can scarcely believe that I am writing this, I think the boxes for commodities indicate a more stable price, perhaps because of managed pricing imposed by governments! I certainly hope I'm wrong here, but I do believe that the boxes indicate a general desire on the part of nations to claim their resources for their own to the degree of setting pricing and, in some surprising cases, controlling their shipment with an eye toward affecting global pricing and competition. It sounds like a trade war to me. Luckily, I believe that these wars will be more like flair-ups of political expediency and most if not all will be slapped down soundly. There will be, however, disruptions in industries that count on shipments of various commodities. I heard the metal "molybdenum," but I think there will be others.
SK: There is no dearth of people who predict movements in stock and commodity markets. They base their predictions either on fundamental or technical analysis. You have a religious background having studied comparative religion and later moved into astrology. Do you think planetary movements alone rather than fundamentals or technicals influence market behavior?
MF: I am not a financial astrologer though I am presently studying the Gann wave and planet based theories with a Chicago commodities broker who knows them well. I am a professional astrologer, the author of many books on that subject and on tarot card reading and other "occult" subjects, which to me are nothing more or less than intuition building tools that have enabled me to become quite psychic. This is where I got the image of the nations putting their economies in boxes.
But more to the point of your question, I believe what affects market behavior more than anything else is human psychology, both of the professional traders, who are an important subset of humanity, and the people who are not professionals and use the markets to protect, hedge, or increase their wealth. Of course, commodity prices are a function of their original purpose, i.e., to give those who actually use the commodities a way to insure stable pricing and delivery. But equities, at least for the near future, are influenced by human nature. Unfortunately, the prevalence of computerized trading is driving out the small investor but they are going to appear in some other form in some other market.
SK: Will there be increased market volatility in 2012 and If so what advice do you have for investors to keep afloat?
MF: I do believe that there will be increased market volatility in 2012 and not one, but at least two of those terrifying "Flash Crashes," one in April and another in July. Advice to investors to keep afloat? I hear "be nimble." I assume that means don't play "get it and forget it" with your investments, you're going to have to watch the markets every day, throughout the day. You're going to laugh, but I just heard "Stay away from 'safe' stocks!" I think what "they" are trying to tell us is that there are no longer any such things as "safe" stocks. Buying gold is never a bad idea but once again you have to stay nimble and, if it really looks bad for the economy in which you are living, you have to sell it or trade it for what you need to live and live well before you are stuck with some pretty metal when what you really need is food and water and fuel and security and land to grow food, to name only a few of the things you should have in that situation.
SK: The recessionary trends in US, Europe, elsewhere has rendered several millions jobless. In these times, how far can your affirmation analysis and ‘Quantumplaytion’ enable people to forget their misfortunes and build new careers or business?
MF: Thank you for mentioning my forthcoming book from Weiser Books, "Quantum Affirmations," in which I teach people the quantum physics based affirmations techniques that I have used to create my wonderful (so far!) life. Of course, by the time you read this I may be in dire straits but I've had the most amazing good fortune to have lived a life of quality and meaning, sharing it with my beautiful, brilliant, and talented artist/designer of a wife, Amy Zerner. When it comes to love, we have it all and we think of money and wealth in general as love, therefore those who are cheap are cheap with their love! When it comes to our wealth, our bills are paid from work done helping others and beautifying the world and we are content. We have what we want and we want what we have. That is the attitude and the mindset one learns from my Quantum Affirmations technique. When your goals are reasonable then there is more than a reasonable chance that you can attain them.
Quantum Physics talks about probable futures and my Quantum Affirmations are designed to help you guide yourself to the probable future in which you have what you want to have. Our subconscious minds are very powerful but they are not going to help you get to the probable future if you are not ready for that future. Our subconscious mind, however, will help you get yourself to the future you desire if you can show it that you are not only ready for the good things that you are hoping for, but that you will be able to cope with the inevitable bad things that come with the new territory you are claiming for yourself - there is no avoiding problems, period.
So, to return to your most welcome questions, I do not want people to forget their misfortunes, my Quantumplaytion technique shows you how to feel and see in your mind's eye the situation you want to be living in and then I want them to imagine the new set of problems that they are going to have when they do lift themselves out of their present situation. If you are homeless, then see yourself in your new home so strongly that you can smell the cooking and hear the carrying on of the annoying neighbors around you. Most affirmation techniques are all sweetness and light "Every day in every way I'm getting better and better." That may very well be, but you never actually get anywhere.
I made up the word "Quantumplaytion" from Quantum and play because it should be fun and it is fun to imagine the future you will soon be enjoying. The word "contemplation" has the root word "temple" in it and the word comes from the place that was consecrated as a sacred place to do an "augory," to predict the future! So when you do my Quantumplaytion you are predicting the future by creating it. Of course there will be work that will need to be done, too, but the ability to imagine clearly the future you are going to create has been the common denominator of all successful people throughout history
SK: The world is eagerly looking forward to your new book, Quantum Affirmation. Briefly speaking what is the single most important message you have to give through this book?
MF: The simple message of Quantum Affirmations is that there is a scientific basis for why affirmations work and how they can change your life. Quantum physicists may not agree with me just yet but the things that they do already believe make my little statement seem tame by comparison. Probable futures, not to mention that there is no reason to them why time, itself, can't go backwards as easily as forwards. They've proved beyond doubt that an experiment somehow "knows" that it is being observed and behaves differently. So the answer to the old riddle is that if a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, it not only makes a sound, it makes a DIFFERENT sound then if someone was there to hear it! I guess the simple message is that, just as it was in days of not so old, what seems like far-fetched, pie-in-the-sky magic today is tomorrow's science. And that includes non-local psychic information that may be coming from a probable future or from my dearly departed mother-in-law, the artist Jessie Spicer Zerner. I hope it's from her!
