BANGKOK (Commodity Online): On the back of cooling global economic crisis, the Natural rubber demand from the Members of The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) is expected to rise by 0.3% in Q1 2012.
According to ANRPC reports, Q1 2012 production growth is expected to increase marginally by 0.3%.
ANRPC members account for 92% of the global supply and 57% of the global demand for natural rubber.
Meanwhile, according to Rubber Board of India, domestic natural rubber production 902,000 tons, up more than 4% year on year from 861,950 tons in 2010-11 Fiscal, for the 2011-12 Fiscal ending March 31, 2012.
The global natural rubber production is projected to be 11.42 million tons while consumption will reach 11.49 million tons during 2012.
The members of ANRPC include Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) , the rubber for February delivery traded to 304.5 yen per kg and In National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE), the commodity traded at Rs 19,090 per ton on 8th February.
