MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Coriander prices may continue to go up and may touch Rs.6000 levels in 3 days, according to Anil Patadia, agri commodity analyst with Commodity Online.
“The commodity may open higher on Monday and the October contract is expected to start off the day at Rs.5517.”he said.
For the period April – June 2011, estimated export of spices is around 1,16,900 MT ($421.55 million) and Coriander has share of around 6.4% quantity wise (7,500 MT) and 2.3 % value wise (Rs. 43.5 crores).
For the FY 2010-11, India exported 40,500 MT coriander with total value of Rs. 166.63 crores and Indian production figure for year 2010-11 is estimated to be around 2.8-3 Lakh MT.
On Monday, Coriander October prices on the NCDEX hit the upper circuit of 4% at Rs.5411.
