Rainfall to improve over India's North West regions
NEW DELHI (Commodity Online): Southwest monsoon is likely to improve over the major rice growing regions of India from August 13, said Meteorological Department on Thursday.
At present the monsoon rainfall is active over central and adjoining East India and it is expected that a fairly widespread rainfall activity over North West region of the country in the coming days, it said.
Southwest monsoon was active over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh.
The axis of monsoon trough continue to pass through Anupgarh, Alwar, Dholpur, Allahabad, Hazaribagh, Midnapur, Digha and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
