LUCKNOW (Commodity Online): India’s public sector steel major, RINL-VSL(Rashtriya Ispat Ingam Ltd-Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant) is steadily increasing its sales network in rural India and has appointed 555 such dealers and intends to increase it to 1000.

At a Customers and Rural Dealers Meet organized by RINL-VSL, Beni Prasad Verma, Union Minister for Steel said that the company had played a key role in making steel available to the ‘aam aadmi’.

While appreciating the efforts of RINL-VSP in increasing their network in rural marketing, the Minister asked RINL to further strengthen the distribution/sale of steel in rural areas and set up service centers.

About 250 major Customers and Dealers of RINL-VSP from different parts of the country participated in the Meet.

The Steel Minister inaugurated RINL’s “Customer Portal” for direct e-sales and released “Customer Charter”, first of its kind in the steel industry in India to bring customer delight and gave awards to the best customers. He also released a “Booklet on Marketing”.

RINL also plans to establish SPUs in Ambedkar Nagar and Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh very soon. Another industry for manufacturing of Railway Coach Components getting explored for establishing for Indian Railways by RINL at Raibarely. RINL is also establishing rural stockyards and is setting up a stockyard in Varanasi.
