SPML bags Rs 105 cr order for NTPC' Simhadri
Commodity Online HYDERABAD: Subhash Projects And Marketing Ltd (SPML) one of India’s leading multi-disciplinary infrastructure development companies recently won the prestigious station piping package for Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project at Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, worth Rs. 105 crore from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), the country’s largest power generating company.
The order is a part of the capacity expansion plan for Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project to provide the growing power needs of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Simhadri Super Thermal Power project is the ambitious initiative of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to augment the power requirements of the region.

• Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Testing at Shop, Inspection, packaging, transportation to site, storage, taking delivery of supplied equipment from site stores, in plant transportation, fabrication at site, erection, cleaning, anticorrosive protection, painting of above ground piping.
• Testing and commissioning of all piping systems including items like fittings, supports/ hangers, valves, actuators, motors, specialties, tanks, instruments, drain, vents including drain/ vent valves and air release valves and impressed current type cathodic protection for sea water make up, Effluent disposal & sweet water make up system.
The Simhadri station had received several awards such as the Ministry of Power’s Gold award for outstanding performance in thermal power generation for 2006-07, the safety innovation award for 2007 for the third consecutive year from the Institution of Engineers, New Delhi, and the Greentech Gold Award for 2008 from the Greentech Society.
