Strangulation risk :Haselson sweat shirts recalled
WASHINGTON (Commodity Online):The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Haselson International Trading sweatshirts due to a strangulation hazard.About 23,000 children's hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings were imported from Indonesia, China, Pakistan, Korea and Egypt by Haselson International Trading Inc., of New York, N.Y., and sold nationwide form July 2006 through September 2009 for between $6 and $30.
The commission said the drawstring poses a risk of strangulation for children.The sweatshirts were sold in sizes 4 though 7 in various colors and prints under the brand names Kani Gold or Road Block.Consumers were advised to remove the drawstring or return the garments to Haselson for a full refund.
