TAIPEI (Commodity Online): Seeing the high opportunities in the Indian textile market, Taiwan has sought to increase business tie-ups with India during the two-day Taiwan Textile Fair 2011 in Mumbai.
According to Jennifer Liu, Project Manager, Taiwan Textile Federation, the Taiwan textile fair promises to unlock great opportunities in India's apparel business environment as it opens new business avenues for textile and garment industry, reported The Economic Times.
Meanwhile, the domestic apparel market has been growing at 10% per annum and the Indiain markets in semi-urban and rural areas are growing faster than expected.
The Taiwan are looking to make new ties and long association with some of the best in Indian textile industry in India.
In the Taiwan Textile Fair 2011 conducted in Mumbai, around 13 top textile companies from Taiwan are exhibiting leading edge textile products.
