Turmeric futures declines in early move
The NCDEX Turmeric future loses ground today. The near month Jun 08 contract trades at Rs4049 per Quintal, after trading as low as Rs 4031 per Quintal. The contract slid lower by Rs 4 or0.10 percent during the session and dropped 0.84 percent in the open interest, which stood at 16450 lots as against 16590 lots yesterday, indicating profit taking. Technically the contract was in the overbought zone.
The benchmark Aug 08 contract trades at Rs4293 Quintal, after trading as low as Rs4273 Quintal. The contract dropped Rs 9 or 0.21 percent during the session and added 1.97 percent in the open interest, which stood at 29020 lots as against 28460 lots yesterday, indicating short selling.
