  • GENEVA (Commodity Online): World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General Pascal Lamy announced the signature of an agreement to modernize and upgrade the WTO Reference Centre, created in in 1997 in Ouagadougou within the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Crafts during his visit to Burkina Faso.

    The necessary funds have been set aside in the 2013 technical assistance budget. The aim of the WTO reference centres is to provide beneficiaries with a special place where they can access all relevant information concerning the WTO through the Organization's website, on CD-ROM, or in electronic or printed form.
