India's rice export prices extend losses to touch their lowest level in nearly four-months mainly due to softer demand from African countries.

India’s 5 percent broken parboiled variety price fall to $368-$372 per tonne this week from $369-$373 a week ago, Reuters reported.

India’s rice exports in August fell 29% year-on-year to 644,249 tonnes, government data showed. Shipments have plunged 27% in the first five months of the 2019/20 financial year, starting on April 1, to 3.8 million tonnes, the data showed.
