Malaysia kept its export tax on crude palm oil for February at 0%, industry body Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said in a notification.

The tax has been at 0% since September.

Malaysia, the world's second-largest producer of palm oil, calculated a palm oil reference price of RM1,904.44 (US$463.48) per tonne for February. Any price above RM2,250 incurs a tax.

Exports of Malaysian palm oil products for Jan 1-15 rose 17.0% to 615,565 tonnes from 525,939 tonnes shipped during Dec 1-15, according to cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services (ITS).
